Job Duties

The consultant will provide analytical support for client projects and product development. Such support will involve working with spreadsheets, relational databases, and models of varying complexity. The consultant will work under the direction of the project manager to analyze data, parameterize models, apply statistical techniques, troubleshoot problems, create professional reports, etc. The consultant will also be expected to work effectively with client personnel throughout the duration of a project.

 

Additionally, depending upon the consultant’s interest level and skill, there will be opportunities to contribute to other operational needs such as marketing, recruiting, administrative, IT support, or accounting.

 

Qualifications

 

Required qualifications

· Strong mathematical aptitude

· Two or more years working experience in an analytical capacity

· Experience with linear regression

· Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

· Highly motivated to achieve project goals

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills

· Good writing and communication skills

 

Preferred qualifications

· Desire to learn new things and develop as a professional

· Experience with relational databases, such as SQL or Access

· Has passed three or more actuarial exams
